E-Bike Battery Saving Tips

The following tips will help you improve your battery life as you enjoy your new e-bike. There are a variety of E-Bikes available on the market all with different batteries! Most batteries you will find are composed of lithium cells, a battery management system, and a case. Some common voltages include 36v, 48v, and 72v. Most batteries on the market have about a 1000 charge life cycle.
Always use the designated charger that came with your bike. Not using the proper charger can cause a variety of problems and it’s best to use only the one that matches the brand of your battery/bike. Charge in a cool, dry place and avoid letting the battery sit with a full charge for extended periods of time. If you know you are not going to use your bike for a longer period of time store the battery at half charge. Leaving the battery at 100% may degrade the chemistry. After a long ride or prolonged use, first let your battery cool down for about an hour or so before charging the bike again. Lithium batteries are sensitive to extreme temperatures and it is best to charge and store them at room temperature.
These are just a few tips that will help you get the best life out of your battery. If you have any questions always feel free to reach out and ask!
